Hi, i'm Hannah

I am a Utah based artist (for now). I was born and raised here, and have moved back after 14 years. I am a marine biologist and scuba dive instructor and have lived and worked in Germany, Cambodia, Indonesia, Australia, Hawai'i, and Miami. I love art, and always travel with a sketch book, watercolors, and usually an underwater camera.

I live for the sea. It is more than just my favorite place, it's home. I have spent over 1800 hours underwater (that's 75 days roughly). If there is water, I'm getting in it no matter how cold - river, lake, ocean, fully clothed, wetsuit, whatever, I'm in.

So it makes sense that I paint things from the ocean (even though I live in Utah).

The most common question I get asked at art markets is:

"Wait, so are these prints or originals?"

BOTH! But not in the way you might think...These are Giclee prints - all printed on museum quality textured paper with archival inks. This paper feels exactly like the watercolor paper I paint with. What makes them originals is the gold leaf. Every single print has gold, or silver, or copper leaf details throughout the piece that I add by hand after the printing process.. I never do the same details twice. So yes, someone may have the same print as you, but the feel and gold detailing of your print will be completely unique. I believe that everyone deserves to own original art in their life, regardless of budget. This is my way of making original art more accessible.
